About Us
Eighty Years History! Yes, that is what Chia Yong Joo Trading Pte Ltd (CYJ) possess. From a humble beginning in 1930 as a retail business, CYJ has evolved over these eighty years to be a major player in the vegetables and fruits industry.
Originally located at Clyde Terrace Market or popularly known as 'Ti Pasat' aka 'Iron Market' (as the entire structure of the market is made of iron) in an enclave in Kampong Glam along Beach Road, CYJ carve a name for herself trading in vegetables amongst the myraid of other early traders.
Under the Government's initiative to centralise the vegetables, fruits and dried goods business in one location, we were relocated to Pasir Panjang Wholesale Centre in 1983. As our business grew, we incorporated to a private limited company in 1986. By then we were already supplying to major institutions and cruise liners, other than being a wholesaler, we were also in the import and export business.
In year 2006 we went through a major restructuring, stremlining our business focus to:

| Driven by an energetic young management team who upholds CYJ's tradition in always putting our customers first in our business dealings. As well as with a fleet of lorries, forklifts and coldroom facilities to support our daily operations. We are constantly improving and expanding to ensure our best deliverance for our valued customers. We also take pride in our team of over thirty committed staff, some of whom have been with CYJ for over ten years. |
